Hello and welcome to the inaugural ramblings of our blog, Woolly Daze.
This blog is about sheep, spinning, knitting and wool:
With a garnish of children and cats:
Your hosts for this adventure are identical twins with a passion for wool.
We’ve been knitting since the age of five. Together we have over half a century of knitting experience – although it doesn’t always feel like it.
We intend to share the knitting and tinking, the thinking and the things that should have been thought about more.
We craft for fun, grabbing fleeting moments around jobs and other commitments. It’s not always relaxing, but it’s never dull.
Come along and share the ride!
I used to have those shoes. And those socks.
Were you brought up on a farm, too, Ellen? I mean ‘too’ as in, as well as your husband, I was brought up mostly on tour.
Nope, pure suburbia for me and my twin sister. I lived on a sheep farm (note ‘lived’ not ‘worked’) just before I met my husband and so managed to blag my way through our first conversation without him thinking I was a hopeless case.
